ACV has made a submission to the Tasmanian Government on its proposed liquor reforms.

The submission highlights our position on strengthening consumer protections for the online sale and home delivery of alcohol, and recommends the Tasmanian Government:

  1. Introduce a 2-hour safety pause from the time alcohol products are ordered online to the time they are dispatched from the retailer for delivery; and

  2. Ensure alcohol cannot be delivered to the home outside of the hours of 10am -10pm.

It also supports the state introducing risk-based liquor licensing fees like Victoria did in 2023.
