Alcohol Change Victoria backs the call to restore APSU funding

Alcohol Change Victoria has signed the open letter calling on all Victorian political parties to restore funding to SHARC's Association of Participating Service Users (APSU). For more than 25 years, APSU has been Victoria’s alcohol and other drug lived and living experience representative body, and its membership has tripled to over 1,000 in just two years. Yet it has faced a funding cut of almost 40% this financial year.
We believe good policy depends on the people it is designed for, and their families and supporters, having a genuine voice. The letter asks to immediately restore APSU’s operational funding, establish sustainable long-term funding, and equitably resource lived and living experience infrastructure.
